Inventory Control Position Summary The Inventory Control is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, conducting inventory transactions, and ensuring the integrity of inventory data throughout the organization. This position works closely with Production, Warehouse, and Lab departments to ensure materials are available when needed and inventory discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records in the company's inventory management system. Perform daily inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and issues. Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances. Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock, excess inventory, or potential shortages. Verify inventory accuracy for incoming and outgoing materials. Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented and recorded. Assist with receiving, labeling, storing, and organizing inventory. Generate inventory reports and analyze inventory trends. Coordinate with Purchasing and Production to ensure material availability. Maintain inventory records in compliance with company procedures, GMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Support audits and provide inventory documentation as required. Assist in developing and improving inventory control procedures. Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to maintain product quality and integrity. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred. Bilingual Highly Preferred Experience 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain experience preferred. Experience with ERP or inventory management systems required. Experience in manufacturing, cosmetics, fragrance, or GMP-regulated environments preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory software systems. Ability to analyze inventory data and identify discrepancies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in warehouse and production environments. Ability to use computers and handheld inventory devices for extended periods. Performance Expectations Maintain inventory accuracy at or above company-established targets. Complete cycle counts and inventory audits on schedule. Ensure timely and accurate inventory transactions. Promptly investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Support efficient production and shipping operations through effective inventory management.
