Inventory Control Specialist Direct Jobs Solutions Inc Vernon, CA Job Details Full-time $19 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Spanish English Forklift High school diploma or GED Warehouse experience Full Job Description The Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods within a tissue converting manufacturing facility. This role ensures inventory accuracy, supports production operations, and maintains proper documentation in compliance with company quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Inventory Control
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of parent rolls (jumbo tissue rolls), packaging materials, cores, chemicals, and finished goods.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor lot tracking and batch traceability.
  • Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures are followed. Warehouse Operations Support
  • Process material receipts, transfers, and shipments in ERP/WMS system.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Coordinate with production to ensure timely material availability.
  • Assist in staging materials for converting lines (rewinders, embossers, log saws, packaging lines).
  • Monitor damaged goods and quarantine non-conforming materials. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP system.
  • Prepare inventory reports for management.
  • Track inventory adjustments and root causes.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, SQF, or other quality systems if applicable. Safety & Compliance
  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Maintain organized and clean warehouse areas (5S practices).
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials.
  • Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred. Experience
  • 1-3 years of inventory control experience in manufacturing (tissue, paper, or converting preferred).
  • Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with lot control and traceability systems. Skills & Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory software.
  • Ability to operate forklifts (certification preferred).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with noise and dust exposure.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks. Work Schedule
  • Full-time position.

Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
