Job Description
Job Description Inventory Control Specialist — Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP/ERP systems. Perform daily inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and material movements. Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify inventory accuracy. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and location errors. Maintain accurate inventory locations and manage temporary location needs during expansion Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and Planning teams to resolve inventory disputes/discrepancies Track raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, and packaging materials. Ensure inventory movements are properly scanned and documented. Maintain accurate records for damaged, missing, quarantined, or rejected materials. Assist with root-cause investigations for recurring inventory discrepancies. Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, storage practices, and material flow. Support implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures and standard work. Prepare inventory reports and provide information regarding inventory accuracy, discrepancies, and material availability. Follow company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards. Train employees on proper inventory handling, scanning, labeling, and transaction procedures as needed.
