Summary/Objective This position reports to the Production Supervisor. The Warehouse Coordinator provides direction and guidance to the Warehouse Team Members and maintains the building, grounds and warehouse equipment, as well as, all food industry standards for proper product handling, storage, and warehouse sanitation and inventory control. Under the direction of the supervisor, directs, and works in the shipping, receiving, storing and controlling inventory area. 2. Provides support for multi-location warehouses. 3. Train and provides work and guidance to warehouse employees 4. Pick, pack and ship orders while following FIFO practices 5. Monitor stock levels and work with the inventory specialist to sustain inventory 6. Identify and address product issues 7. Operate a computer to generate reports, input data and communicate with others 8. Conduct and perform periodical inventory counts 9. Monitor employees performance and report deficiencies to supervisor 10. Ensure work area is maintained in a safe, clean and organized condition 11. Works daily with JRS warehouse and north plant warehouse to determine loads 12. Ensure correct inventory levels are available before production runs 13. Communicates with VIM to switch out trailers when full Competencies Strong leadership skills Strong computer skills; proficient in MS office programs High knowledge of Deacom Self-motivated to achieve goals and meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong organization skills Must be able to work independently and as a team to achieve warehouse and production goals Ability to successfully complete JR Short Forklift Training Program Demonstrated ability to prepare written reports on a timely basis & maintain inventory control records Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that are 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time nonexempt position Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent - Associate degree in Business a plus. Possess forklift experience At least 1 year of warehouse lead/manufacturing lead experience preferred but not required Other Duties Must be able to work extended hours and weekends based on business needs.
