Logistics & Inventory Coordinator

Job Description

Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred License/Certification:
  • Forklift certification/experience preferred.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Experience working with computers and ability to learn new software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with inventory control, material handling, or warehouse operations.
  • Ability to perform cycle counts and physical inventory.
  • Strong planning, organizational, numerical, and analytical skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in an on-site environment involving both warehouse and computer-based activities.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
  • Experience with Oracle software.
  • Experience with SAP or other inventory control/ERP systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
  • Experience with receiving, staging, transferring, or tracking materials.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors regarding material orders.
  • Forklift handling experience.
  • 1+ year of inventory control experience preferred.
Warehouse & Inventory Control Specialist Overview:
  • On-site position consisting of approximately 40% warehouse/material handling and 60% computer-based inventory work.
  • Responsible for receiving, tracking, staging, transferring, and maintaining inventory.
  • Uses computer systems to maintain accurate inventory records and process material transactions.
  • Ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a warehouse while performing frequent computer-based tasks.
Job Duties:
  • Receive materials and verify packing slips against shipment contents.
  • Identify and report material discrepancies or inaccuracies.
  • Enter receipts into Oracle and update installation projects.
  • Stage materials on shelves by installation job.
  • Transfer materials from the warehouse to technicians' trucks.
  • Enter material transfers into Oracle.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Enter cycle count information into Oracle for approval.
  • Process material orders through Oracle/SAP.
  • Communicate with internal departments via email.
  • Review and reconcile order/receiving reports for inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with JCI vendors regarding material order status.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
