EMPLOYEE-OWNED
distributor seeks a driven and detail orientated Purchasing & Inventory Control Specialist to join our fast-paced Inventory Fulfillment Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to learn detailed knowledge of vendors, products and basic principles and purchasing procedures Timely acquisition of issuing and following up on purchase orders Finding reliable suppliers and negotiating prices, discounts and delivery terms Vendor relations: working on late dates, expediting and returns Product sourcing, negotiating and quoting Proactively seek solutions to delivery delays or problems and communicate the status to relevant personnel Monitoring vendor lead time, minimums and reorder points Cycle counts and reconciliation Inventory adjustments and transactions File maintenance & data entry
QUALIFICATIONS
Background preferred in
Inventory and Purchasing:
core concepts, principles & processes Demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem solving ability, attention to detail and sense of urgency Demonstrate strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills Demonstrate the ability to perform under frequent interruptions and/or distractions Strong verbal and written communication skills, listening & team building Solid decision-making skills Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Math and basic accounting skills Mechanical skills & ability to read blueprints a plus

Full-time Pay:
$40,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
