This position combines purchasing responsibilities with inventory management and requires a candidate who has a proven track record in both areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing products, managing vendor relationships, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring inventory accuracy across our warehouse operations. This role is essential to keeping our supply chain running efficiently and ensuring our customers receive the products they need on time. Responsibilities Manage purchasing activities for food and related products. Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs. Maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchasing agreements. Create and submit purchase orders accurately and on time. Track incoming shipments and resolve supply chain issues. Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies. Conduct inventory analysis and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories. Generate reports related to purchasing, inventory levels, and product usage. Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and operations teams to ensure product availability. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience , preferably in food distribution, wholesale distribution, or a related industry. Minimum of 3-5 years of inventory control experience with proven success managing stock levels and inventory accuracy. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and purchasing processes. Experience with ERP, inventory management, or purchasing software. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Preferred Qualifications Experience in food service distribution or grocery distribution. Knowledge of demand forecasting and inventory planning. Pay:
