Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels across Kolmar USA's production and manufacturing areas. This role involves monthly inventory reconciliation, generating reports, managing aged inventory, and ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials. The position requires close collaboration with other departments to uphold best practices in inventory control and support overall supply chain efficiency. Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes? To excel as Inventory Control Specialist, you should have: Strong understanding of inventory management best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP software. Experience in manufacturing and production operations. High level of mathematical skills and ability to process complex information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all transactions related to job issuance and ensure accuracy. Reconcile inventory across all departments, including production, pre-weigh, and manufacturing. Monitor inventory transitions and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Generate and supply monthly customer inventory reports. Manage aged inventory and recommend or request appropriate disposition actions. Oversee levels of non-inventoried supplies and ensure adequate stock. Collaborate with other departments to implement and maintain best practices in inventory control. Assist with physical inventory counts to ensure accurate inventory records. Manage the inbound and outbound processes for hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus. Strong understanding of inventory management best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP software. Experience in manufacturing and production operations. High level of mathematical skills and ability to process complex information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
