1655 Pottertown Road, Midway, TN 37809 True Up Companies is seeking a dependable , safety-focused Installation Technician I with inventory experience to support an upcoming 26-week project. This position combines hands-on installation support with inventory receiving, tracking, organization, and material handling. This is a project-based contract position with the potential to transition into a traveling Installation Technician role after the contract ends, based on individual performance and future business and contract needs.

What You'll Do:
Key Responsibilities Receive, unload, count, and organize incoming materials and equipment. Verify shipments against packing slips, bills of lading, and inventory records. Accurately document material quantities, shortages, damages, and discrepancies. Maintain organized inventory and staging areas. Assist with inventory tracking and basic data entry. Stage and distribute materials needed by installation crews. Load, unload, carry, and transport construction materials and equipment. Assist experienced technicians with installation, maintenance, and project-related tasks. Safely operate basic hand and power tools under supervision. Prepare work areas by clearing debris, organizing tools, and ensuring required materials are available. Maintain tools and equipment and promptly report damaged or malfunctioning items. Follow all company, jobsite, and OSHA safety requirements. Record daily activities, work progress, and jobsite issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Collaborate with team members to support an efficient workflow and timely project completion.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous inventory, warehouse, material handling, shipping and receiving, or stockroom experience is required. Construction, installation, or general labor experience is preferred. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Ability to accurately count, organize, and track materials. Experience reviewing packing slips or bills of lading is preferred. Familiarity with hand and power tools is preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and organizational skills. Willingness to learn and assist with a variety of project responsibilities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to read and understand English safety instructions and jobsite documentation and communicate effectively in English as required to safely perform the position. Candidates interested in transitioning to a traveling role must be willing and able to travel extensively after the contract ends.
Physical & Work Requirements:
This is a physically demanding position. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Standing and walking for extended periods. Frequently bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and gripping. Regularly lifting, carrying, positioning, and moving materials or equipment weighing 50 pounds or more. Performing repetitive physical tasks for extended periods. Safely operating hand tools, power tools, and job-related equipment. Working in indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and jobsite conditions. Working around moving equipment and active construction operations.
Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed on active commercial construction sites. Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and heavy machinery. Must always wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines. This position requires flexibility in scheduling based on project needs. Occasional overtime, extended shifts, and weekend work may be required to meet construction timelines. Employees must be available to work until assigned tasks are completed when job site conditions require it. This is a full-time operational role supporting active construction projects and should not be treated as a part-time or limited availability position.
Contract and Future Travel Opportunity:
This position is expected to last approximately 26 weeks. Employment beyond the contract period is not guaranteed. However, high-performing employees may be considered for a traveling Installation Technician position based on performance, availability, and future contract needs. and get moving - we're ready when you are!
