Job Duties:
Performs highly complex inventory and retail sales work in a unit commissary. Work involves stocking, arranging, and transferring inventory; displaying and selling merchandise; ensuring compliance with established security requirements, loss prevention controls, and procedures; and providing guidance to others. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You have experience managing inventory, receiving, and selling products, and can maintain accurate inventory records while reconciling discrepancies. You have the ability to learn commissary operations, including policies, procedures, and security requirements, and you are organized, dependable, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a correctional environment. You communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and incarcerated individuals, and you can use inventory, financial, and computer systems to track transactions and maintain accurate records. Your ability to follow established procedures for receiving, selling, delivering, and accounting for inventory further demonstrates your strong fit for this positionYou'd be a GREAT fit if:
You have strong inventory management or commissary operations experience and consistently identify and resolve discrepancies before they become larger issues. You understand the importance of accuracy, accountability, security, and customer service in a unit commissary, and you can independently manage daily operations while ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures. You demonstrate strong problem¿solving abilities, organizational skills, and leadership qualities, and you work effectively in a correctional environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. You also seek out ways to improve processes, reduce errors, increase efficiency, and provide reliable commissary services, making you a strong match for this position.
