The ideal candidate is an experienced warehouse and inventory professional who is comfortable working with large-volume inventories, high-value products, inventory management systems, Excel, physical counts, audits, and data analysis. As the operation grows, the position may also oversee and organize additional high-volume storage areas, including dry goods, frozen products, and other operational supplies. The goal of the position is to ensure that physical inventory, system inventory, and actual product movement remain accurate, organized, traceable, and properly controlled.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Receiving & Inventory Control Receive products and verify quantities, specifications, condition, and supporting documentation. Compare received merchandise against purchase orders, invoices, or delivery documents. Identify and report shortages, overages, damaged products, or discrepancies. Document inventory adjustments and corrective actions. Track inventory movements, transfers, receiving, and outgoing product. Monitor inventory accuracy and identify recurring discrepancies or operational issues. Maintain proper product rotation according to the nature of each product. 4. Inventory Audits Conduct regular inventory audits and internal control checks. Prepare documentation and information required for inventory audits. Verify the accuracy and consistency of inventory records. Analyze discrepancies between physical and theoretical inventory. Identify patterns that may indicate errors, process failures, or inventory loss. Follow up on discrepancies until they are properly resolved. Maintain appropriate documentation and traceability for inventory adjustments. 5. High-Volume Inventory Management As the operation expands, the position will participate in the management and organization of additional high-volume inventory areas, including: Dry goods. Frozen products. Food and beverage supplies. Packaging and operational supplies. Other high-volume products used by the restaurant and related operations. The same standards of receiving, organization, identification, storage, rotation, counting, reconciliation, and control will apply across all inventory categories. 6. Maintain accurate databases and inventory records. Use email and digital communication tools professionally.
