Full-Time Position Summary The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across all departments while ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and supplies throughout Seroogy's Chocolates. This role supports production, purchasing, warehouse operations, retail, and shipping by receiving inventory, managing inventory transactions within Microsoft Business Central, building assemblies, conducting cycle counts, and helping ensure inventory accuracy throughout the organization. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities Inventory Management Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders and packing slips. Accurately enter inventory transactions into Microsoft Business Central. Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and supplies. Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories. Investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve variances. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to Purchasing. Recommend disposal of obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory. Warehouse Operations Receive, unload, unpack, label, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations. Organize warehouse locations for efficiency, accessibility, and FIFO inventory rotation. Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse and storage areas. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Assist with internal movement of inventory between departments. Production & Assembly Support Create and process inventory assemblies and production-related transactions in Business Central. Stage materials for production based on manufacturing schedules. Issue raw materials and packaging supplies to production departments. Return unused materials back into inventory accurately. Assist production teams with inventory-related questions and support. Purchasing & Receiving Compare vendor invoices and purchase orders to actual shipments. Report shortages, damages, and receiving discrepancies. Coordinate with Purchasing and vendors to resolve receiving issues. Process vendor returns when necessary. Inventory Accuracy & Continuous Improvement Maintain accurate item locations and warehouse organization. Assist with barcode labeling and inventory identification. Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and warehouse efficiency. Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures related to inventory control. Train and assist team members on proper inventory procedures when needed. Cross-Department Support Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Retail, Shipping, and Accounting to ensure inventory accuracy. Respond promptly to inventory requests from internal departments. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Previous inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics experience. Strong computer skills with experience using ERP or inventory management software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong mathematical and counting skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience with Microsoft Business Central or other ERP systems. Manufacturing or food production experience. Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification). Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and safely retrieve inventory. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to work in warehouse, production, refrigerated, and storage environments. Must be physically present to perform the essential functions of the position. Other duties as assigned.
