Position Overview:

As a Sidewalk Crew Member, you will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from sidewalks and pathways at commercial properties in Windsor, CT by operating small machinery and hand shoveling. This is a seasonal, on-call position during winter storms.

Team Member Responsibilities:

Operate small machinery and shovels to remove snow and ice from sidewalks and pathways Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and FSL quality standards Apply salt, sand, or ice-melt as directed Follow site maps and supervisor instructions for each property Utilize effective communication for on-the-job issues that may arise Maintain safety at all times for yourself, team members, and the public Conduct pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs Submit details of hours, activities, and materials in an accurate and timely manner Be available during all snow and ice events, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Team Member Requirements:

Previous experience operating small machinery or shoveling in a commercial setting preferred Ability to work long, sometimes overnight, shifts during snow events Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed Must have access to reliable transportation to and from FSL headquarters in Windsor, CT Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to safety Must be at least 18 years old Proficient in both English and Spanish is preferred, but not required Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States Four Seasons Landscaping is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
