Gorman's home furnishings retailer has immediate openings for Home Delivery Driver Helper . This position is responsible for the timely delivery of home furnishings to the customer's home or business. Familiarity with the Detroit Metropolitan Areas and have a clean driving record are required. Applicants will be required to pass a background screening, a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Wednesday-Saturday Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to keep the truck clean and neat after each delivery Good mechanical knowledge, good with tools Experience with the operation of a 26' straight truck Ability to assist with assembly of furniture being delivered to customer homes Ability to safely load furniture for secure transport Ability to handle paperwork and keep track of delivery paperwork, trip sheets and other reports as needed Ability to safely lift and maneuver furniture in excess of 100 pounds into tight or awkward spaces with no damage to the furniture or customer's home or business Ability to maintain a polite, respectful demeanor and good customer relations in spite of possible customer dissatisfaction Ability to problem solve for difficult deliveries and delivery issues
