Mid-Continent Coal and Coke Company, a leading supplier to the iron and steel industry, is currently seeking a Plant Laborer in Amory, MS. The Plant Laborer will report directly to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities/skills required include:
General labor, cleaning processing plant area by shoveling, cleaning facilities and equipment daily. Experience operating heavy equipment (front end loader and skid steer equipment) Basic knowledge of heavy equipment routine maintenance Willingness and ability to perform manual labor (shoveling, digging etc.) Flexibility to work days and nights and overtime as needed General maintenance and/or welding skills, a plus Must also be able to follow specific detailed instructions and work in a safety oriented manner. Comfortable with PPE including fall protection; harness and lanyard, etc. The position is year round, but work is done in an outdoor environment during various weather conditions.
Additional requirements include:
Must have a valid driver's license Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move 100 lbs. Ability and willingness to work overtime as required Ability to pass pre-employment 10-panel drug screening Ability to pass a criminal background check.
