Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
To ensure that all dies are being washed prior to going back on the storage rack. To ensure that all dies requiring work are staged for the toolmakers. To take dies back to their designated racks once work is completed. To help ensure 5-S is being practiced in the shop. Requires forklift certification and overhead crane certification. Attendance is a must.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS A.
Tow motor inspection at start of the shift. B. Review tool room work order list for priority of dies to bring into shop to wash and stage on open horses or in the die rack in the shop. Keep die horses loaded. C. Wash all dies that have been pulled from the press. Take those that are not required in the shop back to their designated rack. D. Take completed dies back to the rack once the toolmakers have completed repairs and green tagged the dies. E. Assist toolmakers as needed with putting dies back together. F. Maintain & organize die wash area and die racks in the shop. G. Dump scrap hopper for tool room as needed. H. Dump trash cans as needed. I. All other duties as required by the Tooling Manager. J. Be Positive. K. Work as a team to help others accomplish tasks. L. Lead by example. M. Hard work, job knowledge, and honesty will create respect and make you a leader. N. Ensure all employees follow the safety policies. O. Look for ways to improve given the environment. P. Keep work areas clean. Q. Follow all safety rules. R. Follow the lockout/tagout procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Press experience preferred. Forklift experience a must. Crane experience preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Language Skills:
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English).
Computer/Software:
Willing to learn or possess computer skills to utilize Shop Edge.
Training:
Drug Free Workplace New Hire orientation. PMA press Training Forklift Training Overhead Crane Training
IATF16949/ISO14001 TQPS WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS
Plant:
Various types of manufacturing environments.
Travel:
Minimal
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching and lifting required daily Must be able to lift 35 lbs. multiple times throughout the day Must be able to lift 75 lbs. 3 - 4 times per day North American Stamping Group is a drug-free and smoke-free workplace.
