$80,000 - $85,000 per year Job Details - Job Details We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Materials Planner to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in coordinating and executing material planning activities to support our production process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning and procurement of materials to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of production planning, inventory management, ERP systems, and forecasting. Develop and implement materials planning strategies to meet production requirements and ensure the optimal use of resources. 2. Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials and prevent shortages or excesses. 3. Use ERP systems to track materials, forecast needs, and coordinate with suppliers. 4. Lead procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers. 5. Conduct accurate forecasting to predict material needs and schedule deliveries. 6. Participate in strategic planning sessions to align materials planning with company objectives. 7. Implement Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. 8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials through the production process. 9. Continually review and improve materials planning processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 10. Prepare and present reports on materials planning activities and performance. Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in materials planning in a manufacturing environment. 3. Proven experience with production planning, inventory management, ERP systems, procurement, and forecasting. 4. Strong knowledge of strategic planning principles and practices. 5. Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. 6. Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 10. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
