GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Starting part-time (with the possibility of moving up to full-time) at $18 to $20 per hour with yearly reviews and raises based on performance. PUBLISHING COORDINATOR

Support authors and introduce/guide them through the publishing process. Share in general office work. Opportunity to do presentations, teaching, and public speaking (optional once trained).

• Help answer phone (shared) and receive customers
• Contribute to weekly staff meetings
• Create initial estimates for printing of books and email to authors (shared duty, will train)
• Serve as a primary contact for customers assigned to you (shared duty)
• Schedule and attend (Zoom, phone, or live) marketing consultations for authors
• Attend/participate in monthly (Zoom or live) orientation presentation for new authors
• Participate in organizing the annual Maine Book Festival held in August
• Assist with organizing working authors for in-office tasks 2.

DISTRIBUTION ASSISTANT

• Receive and log deliveries of new books
• Check and process bookstore and library orders
• Communicate with authors concerning book inventory (pickups and dropoffs)
• Assist with shipment of online orders (when the shipping clerk is out of the office)

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 20.0 per week
