Construction - About the Role Our firm is partnering with a leading utility-scale renewable energy and heavy civil construction contractor to hire an Equipment Supply Chain Assistant in Avon, Minnesota. Our client is a nationally recognized builder of large-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects, with decades of experience delivering complex construction work across North America. This role offers the opportunity to support a fast-paced equipment and procurement team that keeps major infrastructure projects moving forward. Job Description The Equipment Supply Chain Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the equipment supply chain team, performing duties such as ERP data entry, purchase order creation, invoice processing, and general procurement support. This position works closely with equipment buyers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure materials, equipment, and maintenance parts are accurately tracked and processed in a timely manner.
Essential Job Functions:
Use purchasing, planning, and material management software to organize and track material, equipment, and maintenance parts. Set up and update equipment records in the ERP system. Partner with equipment buyers to generate purchase orders and manage third-party equipment needs. Retrieve, review, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding for prompt payment. Support ongoing invoice review and processing for the department. Collaborate with teams and individuals on special projects as requested. Actively engage with team members to help balance workload across the group.
Additional Job Functions:
Identify opportunities to streamline work and reduce waste to improve efficiency. Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a two-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask through frequent changes. Ability to work independently while managing and meeting deadlines. Ability to learn new software systems and achieve proficiency in each. Ability to maintain confidential information and act in a professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of administrative, database, or other office experience. Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
