This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced supply chain environment and can manage customer orders, logistics coordination, and cross-functional communication with accuracy and professionalism. The person in this role will help ensure products move efficiently from order entry through shipment while supporting strong service outcomes for customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

Manage customer orders throughout the full lifecycle, tracking progress from initial entry to release, shipment, and post-delivery follow-up across multiple internal systems.
Work closely with sales partners, brokers, transportation teams, production schedulers, plant personnel, and customers to address schedule changes, product availability concerns, shortages, and delivery issues.
Respond to customer questions and service concerns by following established procedures, resolving routine issues independently and elevating more complex matters when needed.
Coordinate product return requests for damaged or unwanted goods, including securing the proper approvals and ensuring timely processing.
Investigate recurring account or service issues by gathering information and contributing to root cause analysis efforts.
Collect customer forecasting details when requested to help improve planning, service levels, and supply chain coordination.
Partner with colleagues across the department to identify practical solutions that support customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate customer records, documentation, and service-related files within internal tracking and recordkeeping systems.
Provide support to sales activities through reporting, service updates, and identification of additional product or service opportunities.
Cross-train with team members and serve as backup support to maintain department coverage and continuity of service. Requirements
Experience in supply chain, logistics, order management, or customer service within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Working knowledge of supply chain logistics, inventory analysis, and coordination of product movement from order through delivery.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams, including sales, transportation, and production personnel.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, monitor details, and follow issues through to resolution.
Comfortable navigating multiple systems and maintaining accurate documentation in internal recordkeeping tools.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to research service issues, identify causes, and support corrective action.
Proven ability to collaborate with peers and provide dependable team support in a dynamic operational setting.
