Job Description
Our client, a growing product-based organization in the nutritional ingredients space, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator/Import Specialist to join its operations team. This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of logistics experience and hands-on exposure to international imports who is looking to take ownership of the order-to-delivery process and work closely with customers, suppliers, warehouses, carriers, and customs brokers.
This position will support the movement of high-value import shipments, manage customer and supplier relationships, coordinate customs clearance activities, and ensure products are delivered efficiently and accurately. ResponsibilitiesManage international import shipments from purchase order through final deliveryBuild and maintain strong customer and supplier relationshipsProcess purchase orders and monitor inventory levelsCoordinate customs clearance and import documentation with brokers and carriersTrack shipments and proactively communicate delays or issuesNegotiate freight rates and coordinate drayage, FTL, and LTL transportationPrepare shipping documentation including BOLs, COAs, packing lists, and releasesProcess customer invoicing, vendor invoices, credits, and returnsManage special customer requests and documentation requirementsParticipate in customer meetings, trade shows, and special projects as needed
