Queens, NY (
Field-Based:
Driving & Servicing job sites across NYC and Long Island)
Job Type:
Full-time (Salaried)
Salary:
$80,000 / year About Us Perfectionist Painting and Home Improvement is a high-standard residential and commercial contracting firm based out of Queens. We take pride in delivering top-tier craftsmanship, immaculate job sites, and reliable service across NYC and Long Island. As our project volume continues to expand, we are seeking a dedicated, highly organized Construction Logistics Coordinator to manage field operations, supply workflows, site support, and shop inventory. This is a key operational role within a growing company, offering a direct pathway to take on larger leadership, operational, and project management responsibilities as we scale. Position Summary (Active Field Role)
Please Note:
This is an active, hands-on field role, NOT a desk job. As our Construction Logistics Coordinator, you will spend roughly 80% of your day in the field—driving the company cargo van across NYC and Long Island, procuring materials, assisting on job sites, and keeping our Queens garage organized. You will serve as the central operational link between management, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities Material Procurement & Transport:
Source, pick up, and deliver paints, trade supplies, lumber, tools, and hardware from local supply houses directly to active job sites across New York City and Long Island.
Vendor & Subcontractor Communication:
Coordinate daily via phone calls, emails, and messaging apps with the leadership, vendors, suppliers, internal field crews, and subcontractors regarding material orders, delivery schedules, and site requirements.
Site Operations, Cleanups & Waste Management:
Oversee job site staging, material organization, routine site cleanups, debris removal, and direct trips to local dumps.
Shop & Garage Operations:
Maintain full organizational control over company vehicles and garage—tracking inventory, maintaining tool check-outs, and staging materials for upcoming projects.
Field Support & Status Reporting:
Assist trade technicians on active sites during downtime, perform routine site check-ins, and provide clear progress reports directly to company leadership.
Fleet Care:
Drive and care for the company cargo van. Conduct basic upkeep (keeping vehicle clean, checking tire condition/pressure) and ensure it is ready for operation.
Qualifications & Requirements Driver's License & Driving Experience:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (must be approved by company auto insurance). Must be completely comfortable driving a cargo van daily in NYC and Long Island traffic.
Construction & Trade Familiarity:
Knowledge of building materials, paint supplies, and general job site operations is strongly preferred.
Strong Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at managing multiple conversations daily via phone, email, and messaging apps.
Bilingual Preferred:
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a strong asset for managing field communications across all crews and vendors.
Physical Capability:
Ability to safely lift 50-75+ lbs regularly, load/unload construction materials, and handle physical field tasks as needed.
Proactive Leadership:
High level of self-motivation—someone who actively uses downtime to streamline shop inventory, stage future materials, or support field teams without prompting.
Benefits & Compensation Salary:
$80,000 annual salary paid weekly with steady, year-round employment.
Paid Vacation:
1 Week Paid Time Off (PTO) per year.
Paid Holidays:
All major legal holidays paid.
Company Vehicle:
Company cargo van provided for all work-related transportation and logistical operations.
