Logistics Specialist

Job Description

Overview Logistics Specialist (H40-2026-26167) Bowhead seeks a Logistics Specialist to support Battle Management System (BMS) family of projects. This position will serve as part of a team, responsible for receiving, shipping, inventorying, and tracking all project material under this portfolio. Limited travel of 5% annually can be expected Responsibilities As a Logistics Specialist , duties include but are not limited to the following: Provides Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) including providing technical inputs to and maintaining provisioning and preparation of program material documentation and tracking. Conducts physical inventories of General Equipment, and Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S). Maintains general equipment receipt and transfer request files using current technologies and databases. Conducts inventory of containers, including container condition, name plate verification and validation, differentiating between part number and serial number. Assist technical users with the proper packing of the container in adherence to Defense Transportation Regulations. Reconcile and validate shipping manifests against the actual contents of the container and report their findings to their Government Point of Contact (POC). Utilize the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to process OM&S issue and transfer transactions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required Three(3) years professional experience that includes at least one (1) years of experience in providing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) in one or more of the following: Maintenance Planning, Supply Chain Management/Support, Technical Logistical Data, or Packaging, Handling Storage and Transportation. One(1) years of specialized technical experience in maintaining provisioning and preparation of government documentation within the logistical technical area's purview. Proficiency in the utilization of the Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically Target salary is $60,500/annually to $65,500/annually commensurate with experience Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
