POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Role Summary:
A high-impact execution role focused on end-to-end supply chain agility and detailed logistical control. The Specialist will manage high-volume daily inventory logs for 100+ containers per month across multiple locations, ensuring full traceability and stock integrity through proactive data entry. This position requires a demonstrated capability to maintain accuracy and quality monitoring in a fast-paced environment, while adapting to dynamic routing changes to maintain world-class customer transparency.
Compensation:
$50,000 - $60,000 annually
High-Adaptability, Complex Logistics & Inventory Control Multi-Stage Routing:
Manage complex cargo movement, including multi-stage logistics, split-shipments, and warehouse-to-customer transfers.
Carrier & Vendor Relations:
Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and third-party vendors to book transport and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Dynamic Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve route inefficiencies and troubleshoot inter-company transfer delays to ensure supply chain continuity.
Dispatch Alignment:
Communicate directly with dispatchers, drivers, and customers regarding arrival times, delays, or shipment updates.
Documentation & Compliance Paperwork Verification:
Prepare, process, and verify essential shipping paperwork, including Bills of Lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all transit practices meet domestic transportation rules and, where applicable, international logistics and customs regulations.
Invoice Auditing:
Review freight invoices for accuracy, code them correctly, and submit them to the finance department for payment.
Data Management & Inventory Records Data Integrity:
Maintain complete accuracy when updating container numbers and timeline data.
Shipment Tracking & Warehouse Liaison Stock Management:
Maintain accurate digital logs of inventory levels to ensure warehouse stock is continuously optimized.
Activity Scheduling:
Work alongside warehouse managers to coordinate dock appointments for shipping and receiving activities.
Cost Optimization & Strategic Reporting Expense Monitoring:
Monitor macro shipping expenses and apply historical rate performance data during spot negotiation to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Performance Analytics:
Aggregate carrier operational compliance metrics, with a heavy emphasis on On-Time Delivery (OTD) rates and invoice accuracy, creating clear analytics briefs for upper management.
Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution Discrepancy Resolution:
Perform root-cause analysis when shipments are over, short, or damaged, and handle the formal claims process when necessary.
Quality Standards:
Monitor stock for quality defects or contamination during handling to maintain high product standards. Knowledge and Skill Requirements Education & Technical Skills Associate degree or equivalent qualification. Technical capacity with basic math skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, for complex data management. Chinese/ English proficiency Soft Skills & Competencies Ability to work efficiently and respond quickly to changing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional presentation. Detail-oriented.
