Description Job Overview:
The Logistics Analyst is a crucial operations execution role within High Liner Foods, dedicated exclusively to North American transportation. The Analyst is responsible for tactical management and decision-making within High Liner Foods' supply chain to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation execution. Essential Duties and responsibilities Provide comprehensive logistics services to optimize service and cost, including: Plan, build, tender, and optimize customer loads while following routing guide compliance and freight budget requirements Prioritize appointment scheduling and communicate customer compliance requirements to carriers to avoid fines and fees Plan multi-stop loads, optimize truck utilization, and evaluate decisions that impact freight costs Track load execution against milestones and obtain status updates or required documents from carriers Identify execution risks, recommend solutions, and keep relevant stakeholders informed of status updates Review freight payment discrepancies and accessorial fees, determining appropriate next steps Utilize, maintain, and update SOPs; monitor KPIs and recommend improvements Develop relationships with carriers and brokers, participate in required coverage plans, and perform other assigned tasks Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain Management or related field) or 2+ years of relevant experience Experience with supply chain software (BluJay/E2 Open TMS and JD are considered assets) Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Professional carrier-facing experience is highly preferred Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others without hierarchical power Proven problem-solving abilities and competency in presenting recommendations Transportation management experience (TL, LTL, and/or IM) Highly collaborative, engaging internal teams and external vendors Demonstrates integrity in decision making, for the team and the business.
