Hybrid - 3 days per week in Culver City office The Opportunity Kidsave seeks a tenacious, donor facing, results-oriented individual to lead our fundraising efforts. The Director of Development will serve as the face of Kidsave, responsible for cultivating and securing financial support from major donors, foundations, and corporations. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic leader with proven experience in donor cultivation, fundraising, and relationship management within the nonprofit sector. We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who will play a key role in expanding existing and growing new donors, managing all relationships, and leading fundraising campaigns. This role will create and execute a comprehensive development strategy to secure funding for the organization's programs and initiatives, as well as identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors. We are seeking someone to take charge of fundraising to grow the organization and be the public representative for the donors at key events and meetings. The Director of Development will report to and work closely with the CEO to refine the strategy for the organization. Additionally this role will supervise a team of 4, and work collaboratively alongside the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Director of Revenue Enablement. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Management Team to create and implement an annual Development Plan and Calendar that meets revenue goals. Develop and implement corporate partnership plan to increase corporate partners and supporters and build the portfolio. Cultivate and manage an existing portfolio of mid-level individual, and family foundation donors Support recurring, year end and other donor acquisition and outreach campaigns. Work with the marketing and management team to ensure that communication with supporters is continuous, professional, donor-friendly and on brand. Develop a pipeline of prospects to identify and secure long-term, high value strategic partnerships. Oversee foundation proposal grant writing Lead sponsorship solicitation for annual gala and major events Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 10 years' work experience, with at least 7 years of relatable non-profit experience with underserved children. Proven track record of successfully cultivating and securing donations, with a strong sales-focused mindset. Proven ability to secure major donors and stakeholders is required. Demonstrated experience working in an organization supporting international programs is a definite plus. Must have demonstrated managerial experience, with the ability to set and manage key performance indicators for team members. Demonstrated experience securing high net worth donors and corporate sponsorships/partnerships. Proactive approach to problem-solving. Must have an aptitude for networking and relationship building with Board members in addition to existing and prospective donors. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate the organization's mission and impact with confidence and credibility. Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work with and motivate volunteers and team; ability to work across programs and offices Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple development initiatives concurrently. A hands-on self-starter with a keen eye for detail. Computer literacy; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, Salesforce Experience with Canva, Photoshop, email marketing platforms a plus

approximately, half time remote; in-person meetings, trainings, networking, weekend outreach, and monthly connection events. The Opportunity Kidsave is seeking a passionate Champion for Change, a driven, hands-on leader who believes every child deserves to grow up connected to a loving, permanent family. If you're energized by transforming child welfare systems, building community partnerships, and advocating for older youth in foster care, this role is for you. As part of an experienced and mission-driven team, you'll help connect older, often-overlooked kids with adults who can become hosts, mentors, and ultimately, adoptive families—using Kidsave's innovative and proven Family Visit Model . The Weekend Miracles Program Manager will lead all aspects of the program in Virginia, working closely with our national Family Visit Programs team, communications staff, and a network of dedicated volunteers and partners. This role requires enthusiasm, vigor, daily hands-on participation, and monthly attendance at weekend Meet the Kids connection events. Key Responsibilities Program Operations Manage all day-to-day operations of Weekend Miracles Virginia. Lead and supervise regional staff, coordinators, and volunteers. Organize and oversee monthly "Meet the Kids" connection events for youth and host families. Manage youth referrals and matches, including Connection Meetings. Ensure trauma-informed, youth-centered relationship-building between youth and host families. Track and support and host family relationships Manage individual youth advocacy efforts, including youth and family stories and photography Improve family/youth matching outcomes. Family and Community Engagement Lead recruitment, training, and support of host families, with intentional outreach to Black, Latino, and LGBTQIA communities. Conduct host family trainings and orientations for child welfare professionals. Identify, cultivate and manage community and corporate partnerships to build awareness, recruit volunteers, and secure event sponsorships. Represent Kidsave and advocate for older youth at conferences and in the media. Government and Agency Relations Lead relationship with state and local government partners and foster family agencies Strengthen both youth and family referral pipelines Participate in meetings and trainings that build program credibility and foster systemic change. Marketing, Outreach, and Communications Manage program outreach efforts in Virginia. Support communications efforts by sharing stories, capturing photos, and advocating for youth. Engage with social media and partner networks to promote the program. Collaborate with the communications and development teams. Data, Evaluation, and Fundraising Oversee data collection and analysis to support evaluation, storytelling, and grant reporting. Participate in program grant writing and other fundraising efforts related to events, outreach, and recruitment. To Succeed in this role,

Education and Qualifications:
7+ years' work experience, including 5+ in the child welfare system working with foster youth and families MSW, MSSW or MSSA degree Valid Driver's License and ability to travel across state Successful completion of a background check required Experience with trauma-focused child welfare training Experience managing people, events, volunteers Experience with Black, Latino, and LGBTQIA communities strongly preferred. Grant writing and program evaluation experience a plus
