0.50 COMPENSATION The salary range for this position is $97,500 - $105,000(dependent upon experience and qualifications)

Oakland Goes Outdoor (OGO) is a mission-driven program embedded within and working in partnership with Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), dedicated to creating equitable, curriculum-aligned outdoor learning experiences for students during the school day and beyond. Since launching in 2018, OGO has made it possible for thousands of students, many for the first time, to explore nearby parks, forests, and shorelines as spaces for learning, connection, and growth. ABOUT THE POSITION

The Fractional Executive Director serves as the chief operational and strategic leader for the organization. This role guides mission execution, launches an advisory board, supports fundraising, and oversees daily administration and operations. The Fractional ED is expected to build long-term organizational capacity and drive ongoing strategic initiatives on a predictable, part-time schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key funder meetings and major cultivation asks Launching the Advisory Council Institutional positioning and narrative Supports the

Director of Programs On:

Key meetings with OUSD Troubleshooting service partner challenges Major partnership negotiations Fiscal sponsor relationship (Oakland Ed Fund) and HR/compliance oversight Decisions on OGO's long-term fiscal sponsorship / organizational housing model Budget ownership and overall financial health Fundraising strategy and oversight, in partnership with the Director of Development on execution Regularly review OGO's partnerships and overall organizational structure and needs (through fiscal sponsor and OUSD) Formal supervision of the Director of Programs, Director of Development, and Data Owns Advisory board relationships, prep, recruitment, and support Staff performance management and feedback culture Leads change management and responsible for team culture Day-to-day supervisory and org-wide decisions Performance review ownership for the two director roles Operational triage and financial and organizational approvals

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

8-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit management, program administration, or executive operations. Experience working with a fiscal sponsor and within a collaborative partnership model.

Fundraising Track Record:

Proven success in securing grants, individual donations, and diversifying revenue streams. Experience fundraising in Oakland highly desired.

Communication:

Exceptional public speaking, written, and interpersonal skills.

Self-Starter:

High degree of autonomy, flexibility, and creative "out-of-the-box" problem-solving abilities.
