Job Description

InnerRhythms, Inc.
Contract Term:
12 months, including a 30-day trial period
Annual Contract Amount:
$45,000-$52,000 Reports to:
Board of Directors Estimated Time Commitment:
Approximately 20/30 hours per week on average. Hours will vary throughout the year, with a greater time commitment during showcase periods and fewer hours during the summer and other slower months Position Summary The Executive Director provides organizational leadership and oversees the day-to-day operations of InnerRhythms. Working closely with the Board of Directors, artistic leadership, instructors, and staff, the ED is responsible for organizational management, fundraising, financial oversight, studio operations, community engagement, and supporting successful programming and performances. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Manage day-to-day operations of the organization and studio. Hire, manage, and support staff and instructors. Oversee class scheduling, enrollment, tuition, scholarships, communications, and general studio administration. Maintain a regular studio presence and serve as a primary contact for students, families, and staff. Work with the Board on organizational planning, policies, and long-term sustainability. Financial Management & Fundraising Oversee budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and general financial operations. Lead fundraising efforts in collaboration with the Board. Develop relationships with donors, funders, sponsors, and community partners. Support grant writing, reporting, donor communications, and fundraising events. Programs & Performances Collaborate with artistic leadership and instructors on class programming, curriculum, and student placement. Coordinate the operational and logistical aspects of performances, showcases, workshops, and special events. Secure venues and coordinate vendors, front-of-house activities, and other production needs. Support artistic leadership in successfully implementing the creative vision for performances and programs. Marketing & Community Engagement Oversee organizational marketing, communications, and promotional activities. Build partnerships with local organizations, schools, businesses, and community groups. Represent InnerRhythms at community events and develop opportunities to increase awareness and participation. Qualifications At least five years of nonprofit leadership, management, fundraising, or comparable professional experience. Strong organizational, communication, financial management, and leadership skills. Demonstrated fundraising experience. Experience managing staff, contractors, budgets, and multiple priorities. Ability to work collaboratively with a nonprofit Board, staff, instructors, families, and community partners. Commitment to InnerRhythms' mission and inclusive approach to dance and arts education. Contract & Compensation This is a 12-month independent contractor position with an annual contract amount of $45,000-$52,000 , depending on experience. The contract will begin with a 30-day trial period to ensure the position and working relationship are a good fit for both InnerRhythms and the contractor. The position requires flexibility for studio activities, performances, events, and occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.
