Job Description:

Advocates for patient safety and protects patients and providers by promoting safe practices and policies. Escalates patient safety concerns to appropriate leadership with honesty and integrity. Acts as an in-house consultant for data and information needs to guide performance improvement. Defines project scope to maintain focus and uses measures to ensure interventions are sustained over time. Communicates regularly with stakeholders about progress toward goal achievement, critical factors, and obstacles.

• DMAIC principles, including statistical and quantitative process [Preferred]
• Ability to program, such as VBA or statistical programming [Preferred]
• High proficiency with Minitab or similar statistical software package [Preferred]
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Visio, PowerPoint [Preferred]
• Advanced Access database skills [Required]
• Facilitation of various PI methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, PDSA, etc.) [Preferred]
• Solid analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills [Required]
• Ability to conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical controls [Required]
• Has knowledge of quality & process improvement methodologies such as lean six sigma [Required]
• Ability to succinctly translate high-level concepts into actionable items [Required]
• Awareness of basic project management concepts and methodologies [Required]
• Strong written and verbal communication skills [Required]
• Excellent organizational and time management skills [Required]
• Able to work independently under limited direction and manage multiple projects simultaneously while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork. [Required]
