JELD-WEN

is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join our growing team.

SUMMARY OF GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

Under direct supervision, the JCI Manager, the CI Coordinator will help facilitate and Coordinator plant continuous improvement efforts utilizing LEAN manufacturing concepts and tools. The CI Coordinator will analyze, track, and communicate key performance indicators using corporate management systems. The position will facilitate root cause analysis workshops aimed at identifying and eliminating waste, reducing downtime, and improving business processes. The CI Coordinator will support operational efforts to raise productivity and efficiency throughout the plant.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator provides process improvement support with a goal of delivering value to

Door Systems. This position will assist, Coordinator, plan, and coordinate continuous improvement activities. The CI Coordinator will work with Production and Group Managers to reduce organizational barriers and improve the flow of operations, improve business results and operational objectives.

The CI Coordinator shall:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Provide support with reporting and publishing KPI's.

Take ownership of assigned change initiatives throughout project delivery.

Work with other team members and value streams to devise new support. materials revised processes, practices, to include training, reporting, and systems enhancements.

Set up standard work on best practices and training resources when necessary.

Train and mentor other associates on lean concepts throughout the organization.

Assist with departmental improvements related to continuous improvement.

Attend and participate in Quarterly JCI Training and Project Meetings during Inventory or as scheduled by the JCI Manager. This position is classed as office staff but 50% to 60% of the roles time will be spent on the floor assisting with projects and process improvement efforts. Upon business need, this role may require off-shift support. This is an important role in the plant's day-to-day operations. The person working in this role will be expected to take on tasks with enthusiasm and the ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently exposed to fumes, cleaning solutions, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations and loud noises. All safety protocols including OSHA guidelines as mentioned above are mandatory.

KNOWLEDGE AND/OR ESSENTIAL SKILLS

High School Diploma or GED; Minimum of 2 years of continuous improvement experience at a

plant or comparable facility in manufacturing; Must have good verbal and written communication skills and multi-tasking abilities; Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other appropriate

software computer programs and applications; Must have the ability and motivation to learn; Must be able to lift up to approximately 20+/- lbs.; Be very energetic and enthusiastic with a positive attitude with employees, management and customers; Must be able to receive frequent supervision; Must have the ability to work in an fast paced office and/or manufacturing environment; Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and be dependable; Be a team player; Be results driven; Must recognize unsafe conditions and take appropriate action on same to ensure the safety of themselves and others in the building and facility;. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
