Operations Manager

Job Description

We are a fast-growing apparel company located in South El Monte that is looking for a highly organized, hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the branded/licensing division. This person will connect product development, production (import and domestic), inventory, sales, fulfillment, and customer service to ensure that orders and projects move forward accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
Position Summary:
The Operations Manager will manage the operational flow of our branded/licensing division from product planning and production through inventory receipt, order fulfillment, and delivery. This is a hands-on role within a growing division. The ideal candidate is comfortable building systems, solving daily operational problems, holding team members and vendors accountable, and stepping in wherever needed to keep the business running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations and Workflow Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the division.
  • Develop and maintain clear workflows, timelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate priorities across sales, product development, production, inventory, fulfillment, and customer service.
  • Track open projects and orders to ensure deadlines and customer commitments are met.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
  • Provide regular status updates and operational reports to senior management.
  • Manage production team on schedules for domestic and overseas orders.
Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory receiving, organization, accuracy, and availability.
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment quantities based on sales activity and upcoming demand.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate SKU, size, color, wash, and quantity information within company systems.
  • Help establish inventory-control procedures that reduce shortages, overstock, and preventable errors.
Order Fulfillment and Logistics:
  • Oversee wholesale, e-commerce, sample, and special-project order fulfillment.
  • Ensure orders are processed, picked, packed, documented, and shipped accurately.
  • Monitor delivery performance and resolve shipping or receiving problems.
  • Work with sales and customer service to address backorders, shortages, returns, claims, and special shipping requirements.
Systems and Process Improvement:
  • Maintain accurate operational information across Shopify, inventory platforms, shipping software, spreadsheets, and internal trackers.
  • Improve reporting, documentation, and communication between departments.
  • Create scalable processes to support growth in sales volume, product assortment, and customer accounts.
  • Use operational data to identify recurring problems, control costs, and improve efficiency. !! Required Experience !!
  • Apparel, fashion, wholesale, manufacturing, or consumer-product experience required.
  • Experience coordinating both domestic and overseas apparel production.
  • Knowledge of wholesale and DTC order fulfillment.
  • Experience building SOPs, operational trackers, and performance reports.
Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of experience within the fashion related field in operations, production, supply chain, inventory, logistics, or a related function.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing employees, vendors, or cross-functional workflows.
  • Strong understanding of production timelines, purchase orders, inventory control, fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and respond calmly to changing priorities.
  • Comfort working in a growing company where processes are still being developed.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and other apps.
  • Experience with Shopify, shipping platforms, inventory-management systems, or ERP software is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Pay:
$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
