General Manager Position Overview The Director of Resort Operations is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of on-property operations at Tahoe Beach C Ski Club. This individual will ensure that all operational departments—Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Activities—run efficiently and deliver exceptional guest and owner experiences. Working closely with the Resort Manager, the Director of Resort Operations will also contribute to long-term planning, including oversight of reserve fund projects and strategic capital planning. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Provide direct oversight and leadership to the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Activities teams. Ensure smooth daily operations that prioritize owner satisfaction, guest service, and safety. Monitor and maintain property standards in alignment with company and Board expectations. Implement policies and procedures that foster consistent quality and compliance with HOA and regulatory requirements. Team Management G Development Recruit, train, and mentor department managers and staff, building a culture of accountability, service excellence, and teamwork. Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear departmental goals. Foster cross-department collaboration to improve overall resort operations. Guest & Owner Experience Ensure prompt and effective resolution of owner and guest concerns. Work with onsite and corporate Owner Service to complete deed transfers, and ensure prompt response to booking and billing questions. Oversee service quality standards and hospitality programs to enhance owner and guest satisfaction scores. Support communication efforts with owners regarding resort operations, projects, and improvements. Financial & Strategic Planning Collaborate with the Resort Manager and Regional VP to prepare and manage operating budgets for all on-property departments. Assist in long-term planning for the resort's reserve fund, including project prioritization and capital expenditures. Monitor operating expenses and labor costs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost efficiency. Property & Facility Oversight Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maintain resort assets at a high standard. Ensure housekeeping standards meet brand, HOA, and guest expectations for cleanliness and presentation. Oversee safety, security, and risk management compliance across all resort operations. Participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) Program, providing resort-wide leadership, operational support, and emergency response when assigned. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive hospitality leadership experience, preferably in a resort, timeshare, or HOA setting. Proven track record of managing multi-department operations including housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reserve/capital planning. Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work collaboratively with HOA Boards, ownership groups, and corporate leadership.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
