Studio Operations Manager Painting with a Twist
  • Lakewood, CO Part-Time | $22
  • 25/hr DOE + Performance Bonuses | 30-38 hrs/week Painting with a Twist
  • Lakewood is looking for an energetic, organized and hands-on Studio Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of our busy paint-and-sip studio.
This is not a sit-behind-a-desk management position! Our Studio Manager is involved in all aspects of the business, from leading the team and keeping the studio running smoothly to helping customers plan events, driving sales, supporting marketing and jumping in wherever needed. No art experience is required. We're looking for someone who knows how to lead people, solve problems, connect with customers and take ownership of a business. What You'll Do Studio Operations Oversee day-to-day studio operations and ensure the studio is clean, organized, stocked and ready for events Manage opening/closing procedures, inventory, supplies and retail/bar operations Help coordinate the studio calendar and artist/staff scheduling Make sure classes and private events are properly staffed and prepared Troubleshoot issues as they arise and keep operations running smoothly Maintain studio standards, procedures and guest experience expectations Team Leadership Help manage, schedule and communicate with our team of artists and studio staff Assist with hiring, onboarding and training new team members Provide direction and feedback to artists and staff Help ensure team members are following studio procedures and delivering a consistently great guest experience Step in and support the team during busy events when needed Sales & Customer Experience Respond to phone, email, text and in-person inquiries Help customers choose and book public events, private parties, team-building events and other experiences Follow up with prospective customers and help convert inquiries into bookings Look for opportunities to grow private parties, corporate events and other studio revenue Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and confidently Build relationships with repeat customers, local businesses and community partners Marketing & Business Growth Assist with weekly emails, social media and studio promotions Help promote upcoming events and identify opportunities to increase attendance Contribute ideas for new events, promotions, partnerships and community outreach Help identify what is—and isn't—working and suggest ways to improve sales and the customer experience What We're Looking For Our ideal manager is someone who is: Reliable and accountable — if something needs to get done, you make sure it happens Organized — comfortable juggling schedules, customers, staff and competing priorities People-oriented — friendly and welcoming, but also comfortable managing and giving direction Sales-minded — comfortable talking with customers, recommending options and asking for the booking Proactive — you notice problems and opportunities without always needing to be told Flexible — able to shift gears quickly in a small-business environment Tech-savvy — comfortable learning scheduling/POS systems, email platforms, social media and spreadsheets Creative and resourceful — willing to bring ideas to the table and help us continue improving the business Management, retail, hospitality, event, sales or customer-service experience is strongly preferred. The Right Person for This Role We're a small business, which means everyone pitches in. One minute you may be working on the artist schedule, the next you may be helping someone book a 30-person company event, solving a customer issue, restocking the bar or helping the team get ready for a sold-out class. We need someone who enjoys that variety and wants to take ownership of the studio rather than simply complete a list of tasks.
