B.U.I.L.T.
values — Balance of humility and hunger, Urgency with integrity, Intelligence in every decision, Love for the process, Trust through doing what's right. Under new ownership over the last five years, we're building toward $15M in revenue by 2035. Getting there starts with this hire. Position Overview This role requires 10+ years of hands-on operations and production management experience in a CNC machine shop. That's a hard requirement, not a preference. We're direct about it because we've had this req open before and learned the hard way — applicants short of that bar won't be considered, regardless of how the rest of the resume reads. You'll own the entire production life cycle: job scheduling, shop floor execution, coordination with quality, and on-time customer delivery, across a mixed prototype-and-production floor. The team you're inheriting is experienced and will size you up fast. You earn their trust through obvious, demonstrated command of the work — offline programming, setup and changeover reduction, kitting, and a relentless focus on keeping spindles turning as many hours of the day as possible, whether the job on the table is a one-off prototype or a running production part. If your background is heavier on the administrative or scheduling side than the floor side, this isn't the right fit. We need someone who has spent a decade-plus doing this, not learning it. Key Responsibilities Shop Floor Leadership — Own daily operations of the CNC shop: machinists, programmers, and setup technicians report to you. Build a culture of accountability, safety, and precision. Elite Scheduling & Flow — Run the ERP/MRP system to plan, prioritize, and optimize daily and weekly production schedules. Balance urgent prototype work against long-run production without dropping either. Offline Programming & Setup Optimization — Drive offline programming, setup reduction, and kitting practices that keep changeover time down and spindles cutting. This is the core skill this role is built around. Process Optimization — Apply Lean/Continuous Improvement practices to cut setups, eliminate bottlenecks, and maximize throughput. End-to-End Fulfillment — Manage internal supply chain and logistics to hit on-time delivery. Maintenance — Own preventive maintenance schedules across all CNC equipment to eliminate unplanned downtime. Client & Vendor Interface — Communicate technical and delivery timelines clearly to the executive team and, when needed, directly to clients. Qualifications Experience (Required): 10+ years of direct operations/production management experience within a CNC machining environment. Proven track record running both prototype and production workflows simultaneously — not sequentially. Technical Depth (Required): 10+ years hands-on with multi-axis CNC milling and turning, offline/CAM programming, setup, and kitting — deep enough to earn floor credibility immediately, not build it over time.
Scheduling Mastery:
Strong ERP/MRP expertise for capacity planning and floor scheduling.
Leadership Style:
Firm but collaborative. Comfortable jumping onto the floor to solve a technical problem, not just managing from behind a screen.

Must be willing to permanently relocate to Northern Colorado.
