Job Description
At EdAdvance BASES , we are dedicated to nurturing young minds by creating vibrant, safe, and joyful spaces where school-age students can learn and grow. We are seeking an energetic, organized, and hands-on Site Coordinator to lead our Before and After School Extended Services program in New Fairfield. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) As the Site Coordinator, you will oversee daily site operations, lead on-site staff, and ensure a warm, OEC licensing-compliant environment for children.
Lead Daily Site Operations:
Organize and run both morning (6:45 AM-9:00 AM) and afternoon (3:15 PM-6:00 PM) sessions.
Direct Child Supervision & Engagement:
Maintain a safe, welcoming space for elementary students; lead setup and cleanup of program areas daily.
Staff Supervision & Team Leadership:
Mentor site staff, coordinate schedules, and lead regular team meetings to promote continuous program quality.
Curriculum Execution:
Implement engaging, age-appropriate educational activities aligned with early childhood and elementary development principles.
Licensing & Administrative Compliance:
Ensure full adherence to Office of Early Childhood (OEC) Child Care Center licensing regulations; manage student registrations, daily attendance tracking, and required paperwork.
Family & School Partnerships:
Build strong, positive relationships with parents, guardians, and school personnel through proactive communication.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Minimum of 6 college credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience working with elementary school-aged children in an educational, childcare, or recreational environment.
Supervisory Skills:
Strong staff leadership, team management, and organizational abilities.
Availability:
Must be able to work consistent split-shift hours (6:45 AM-9:00 AM and 3:15 PM-6:00 PM, Monday-Friday; 1.5 hours off-site planning per day).
Certifications:
Must possess (or acquire within 3 months of hire) First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration certifications.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for the entire shift and actively move through indoor and outdoor spaces alongside students.
