Job Description

Operations Manager - Landscaping & Snow Operations Full-Time Year-Round Salaried OBEE Landscaping & Outdoor Design is seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations across our landscaping, property maintenance, construction, and snow operations. This is a leadership position for someone who can manage multiple crews and job sites, solve problems independently, maintain high standards, and keep daily operations running efficiently. We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate multiple crews and active job sites simultaneously Create and manage daily crew schedules, assignments, and job-site logistics Coordinate employees, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule Monitor job progress, productivity, workmanship, and deadlines Conduct job-site visits and quality-control inspections Identify and resolve field problems before they impact customers, schedules, or production Communicate effectively with crews, office staff, management, subcontractors, and customers when necessary Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, safety, company policies, and job-site expectations Assist with training and development of crew leaders and field employees Oversee equipment and fleet needs and communicate maintenance and repair issues Understand work orders, project scopes, job plans, and production expectations Monitor labor, materials, and job performance and identify projects that are falling behind Operate heavy equipment when necessary, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other landscaping/construction equipment Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites Snow & Ice Operations The Operations Manager will play an important role in OBEE's commercial snow and ice operations.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating snow crews, equipment operators, and subcontractors Preparing staffing, equipment, and assignments before forecasted storms Managing multiple commercial properties during active snow events Monitoring site progress and adjusting crews and equipment as needed Communicating with management and field teams throughout snow events Ensuring properties are serviced according to company and customer expectations Performing pre- and post-storm site and equipment checks Operating loaders, skid steers, plow trucks, or other snow equipment when necessary Being available for overnight, early-morning, weekend, and extended-hour snow events as weather conditions require Previous commercial snow and ice management experience is strongly preferred. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of landscaping, construction, property maintenance, or similar field experience Demonstrated experience leading crews or managing field operations Experience managing multiple crews and job sites simultaneously strongly preferred Commercial snow and ice management experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound decisions independently and resolve day-to-day operational issues without constant supervision Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Experience operating excavators, skid steers, loaders, and similar heavy equipment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Comfortable using smartphones, email, scheduling software, job-site photos, and other basic business technology Must be able to work outdoors and walk active job sites in varying weather conditions Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Dependable, professional, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits $60,000-$75,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications Full-time, year-round salaried position Paid time off 401(k) Company vehicle Performance-based bonus opportunities A Hands-On Management Position This is not a strictly office-based position. The Operations Manager will spend significant time in the field overseeing crews, visiting job sites, coordinating operations, and addressing issues as they arise. We are looking for someone who doesn't simply identify problems — they take ownership, find solutions, and keep the operation moving. $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
