Job Description Local healthcare provider has an immediate opening for a Director of Plant Operations.

Position Description :

The Director of Hospital Plant Operations is to provide leadership to the Plant Operations Department at the facility by actively directing and supporting the Plant Operations Departments at each hospital with all work related to the physical plant and ancillary systems, engineering, grounds, security, and safety. This role performs surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and has extensive knowledge with TJC, CMS, AHCA, and other regulatory agencies' requirements. The Director of Hospital Plant Operations provides support to the Plant Operations Department at the facility to ensure successful oversight of the hospital's plant operations, safety, and security. The programs supported include, but are not limited to, hazardous materials, insurance regulations, buildings, grounds, equipment, and occupant safety. All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, the State Department of Public Health, policies and procedures, and QAPI Standards. This role also provides guidance on construction/remodeling projects upon direction from organizational leadership. The Director presents a positive image of the hospital to patients, visitors, physicians, and the public. Oversees the Housekeeping department and works hand-in-hand with the Environment of Care Director on Hospital projects.

Education/Experience :

• A minimum of 5 years in Facilities Management required; preferred Healthcare experience.

Experience in management/supervision of a Plant Operations Department including (Security, Grounds, Biomed, etc.) Knowledge of facility buildings, equipment, and utilities High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in Engineering preferred.

Certifications/Licenses:

Must have a valid Driver's License. CPR certified.

Work Experience:

• One (5) years of experience in Plant Ops Department and Supervisory Skills.

Physical Requirements:

• This position will work in a temperature controlled hospital setting.
• Must be able to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of this position, meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. The position operates in a professional environment and routinely requires use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, vital sign machines, and filing cabinets.
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
