The position of Operations Manager is of great significance to Wells Ag Supply. • The operations manager oversees overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the operations department. Employees in this position are required to perform tasks with the utmost concentration and dedication. Duties and Responsibilities These are the basic duties and responsibilities of the position and must be performed competently. Basic duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Assist operations team with daily schedules. Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems. Oversee facility maintenance Communicate job expectations: planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions. Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes. Assist safety director in making sure safety guidelines are followed by operations staff. Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports along with assisting them in making changes with their team and training warehouse managers to evaluate direct reports. Oversee fertilizer load out sheds Assist warehouses in order fulfillment when needed. Oversee the shipping department with verifying that all timelines are met. Encourage team members to work in a positive manner. Monitor employee work and provide guidance in their department. Hire operations staff members- Warehouse, delivery drivers, load out positions, dispatch, and aerial application staff. Schedule training with operations staff if needed. Assist operations project manager with ongoing and upcoming projects Communicate with customers about changes being made. Assuring that customers are updated on the load out shed. Comply with Wells Ag Supply policies, including Wells Ag Supply safety policies

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of AA in Agriculture, business management or related field. Minimum of three to five years of Management experience. Valid drivers license Strong decision making, critical thinking, problem solving skill, conflict management, organization, and leadership. Available to work extended hours when needed. Must be self-motivated, adaptable, accountable, and efficient.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods. Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. In a normal workday, an employee will sit 30% of the time, stand 50% of the time, and walk 20% of the time. Employees must be able to frequently reach above shoulder level, occasionally squat, kneel, push/pull, climb/balance, and lift from high/low position.

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
