Job Description

Vache Highland Shipping LLC is looking for a motivated, hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Amazon delivery service at DNO3 in Slidell, LA . We're looking for a strong people leader who enjoys coaching and developing employees, solving problems, improving performance, and working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires someone who takes ownership, pays attention to details, and is willing to step in wherever needed to keep the operation running successfully.

In person Responsibilities Lead and manage daily delivery operations. Coach, develop, motivate, and hold Delivery Associates accountable for safety, quality, attendance, pace, and overall performance. Analyze performance data and scorecards and provide ongoing coaching and follow-up. Lead daily stand-up meetings and communicate safety, quality, and operational updates. Manage Delivery Associate scheduling and daily staffing needs. Work closely with dispatchers to ensure routes are progressing successfully and deliveries are completed on time. Make operational adjustments and coordinate rescues when necessary. Handle employee issues, conflicts, and performance concerns professionally. Respond to accidents, incidents, route issues, and other unexpected operational situations. Communicate and work effectively with Amazon stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve processes, performance, efficiency, and the employee experience. Work closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure vehicles are available, safe, and ready for daily operations. Assist with basic fleet responsibilities when the Fleet Manager is unavailable, including vehicle swaps, minor vehicle issues, and other operational needs. Be willing to work hands-on and step into any area of the operation when needed. Be prepared to perform Delivery Associate duties in an emergency. Be available/on-call outside normal working hours on scheduled workdays when operationally necessary. Qualifications Must be 22 years of age or older . Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 4 years of driving experience . Eligible to work in the United States. Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs . Previous people-management experience required . Coaching and employee-development experience strongly preferred. DSP, Amazon, UPS, FedEx, or logistics management experience is a plus. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and making decisions under pressure. Comfortable using Google Docs/Sheets, Excel, Word, smartphones, and other technology. Able to work at least one weekend day. Willing to work hands-on and assist wherever needed.
