Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Tasting Room and Event Support Associate, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will create memorable experiences for our guests. This role combines engaging customer service in our tasting room, maintaining cleanliness and organization, assisting with light yard work, and supporting special events. You'll be a key player in ensuring our space is welcoming, spotless, and ready for guests to enjoy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while contributing to a lively, community-focused environment. Responsibilities Welcome guests in the tasting room with friendly, attentive service, providing information about our offerings and guiding them through tastings. Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems Upsell products and promote special offerings to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness of the tasting room, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning glassware, and ensuring all areas are sanitized according to food safety standards. Assist with light yard work such as watering plants, maintaining outdoor spaces, and general groundskeeping to keep the venue inviting. Support event setup and breakdown, helping with logistics like arranging tables, chairs, or supplies for private functions or public events. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods and special events. Skills Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments such as restaurants, tasting rooms, or bars; cocktail or spirits experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and processing sales efficiently. Knowledge of wine, spirits, beverage service, and food safety practices within the food industry. Ability to perform light yard work and maintain outdoor spaces; comfort with physical tasks like cleaning and sanitation duties. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in event support or host/hostess roles is beneficial for assisting during special functions. This role is perfect for someone looking for a part time, fun place to work.
