Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking a Traveling Site/Shift Supervisor based in Sterling Heights, MI. Compensation is set between $20.00 and $22.00 per hour. The standard schedule runs from 6:00am to 2:00pm, though core hours may fluctuate, and you must be available for mandatory weekend work and overtime as production needs dictate. Please note that you are required to provide your own dependable transportation, as your work location may change throughout the day or week. Your Responsibilities You will be tasked with directing daily operations for CER personnel and managing quality control processes while fostering strong professional relationships with corporate staff. The successful candidate will perform the following duties: Perform hands-on part inspections whenever necessary Conduct site check-ins during off-shift hours as required Support the implementation and setup of new projects Facilitate team development and assess essential training needs to improve overall performance Maintain team standards by enforcing accountability and disciplinary measures Direct and organize daily tasks for the team to ensure operational efficiency Inform staff members of upcoming overtime requirements Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and root cause investigations, such as 8D reporting and staff meetings Draft comprehensive incident reports that detail root causes and outline corrective measures Cultivate productive and professional connections across all organizational levels Ensure total compliance with internal guidelines, including the Quality Policy Manual and Colleague Handbook Provide the team with the equipment and resources needed to help them work safely and productively Qualifications Completion of a High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, while additional college education is a plus Availability to commute to various sites across the Metro Detroit region and nearby counties At least one year of professional experience supervising automotive quality operations Strong attention to detail in all tasks Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel Capacity to manage competing priorities in a high-speed work environment Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated history of effective leadership Competency in English literacy and basic mathematical operations Physical Demands This position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks throughout your shift, including standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting, as well as the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively.
