Director of Operations Location:
Union City, Michigan Position:
Full-Time Pay:
Based on experience We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of our outdoor cannabis cultivation facility in Union City. This is a hands-on management position responsible for overseeing operations from seed to sale and working directly with ownership to keep the facility efficient, compliant, and productive. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of plant care, including planting, feeding, IPM, irrigation, harvest, drying, trimming, and inventory. Manage a small year-round team and oversee additional seasonal employees during planting and harvest. Ensure compliance with Michigan CRA requirements and maintain accurate METRC records. Coordinate with sales, processors, retailers, and other cannabis businesses regarding orders, transfers, and product availability. Report directly to ownership and participate in regular management meetings. Manage payroll, employee timekeeping, bills, purchasing, and general administrative operations. Maintain inventory, supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships. Help develop and maintain SOPs and prepare for inspections and compliance requirements. Qualifications 5+ years of cannabis industry experience, with cultivation or management experience strongly preferred. Experience managing cannabis cultivation operations. Strong knowledge of outdoor cannabis cultivation and seasonal farm operations. Previous management or supervisory experience. METRC and QuickBooks experience strongly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work hands-on in the field and work extended hours during planting and harvest as needed. Compensation is dependent on experience and qualifications.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
