Work Environment Professional yet supportive atmosphere Modern office setting Casual work attire On-the-job training Safe work environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities Position Summary The Floor Supervisor is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the production and retail floor while ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient workplace. This position is responsible for supervising staff, training individuals with disabilities in work skills and job tasks, maintaining productivity standards, and ensuring all operations are conducted professionally. This is a working supervisor position. The successful candidate must lead by example, work alongside staff and individuals, take initiative, and understand that Iron County Sheltered Workshop operates as a business while fulfilling its nonprofit mission. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the production and retail floor. Provide direct supervision, guidance, coaching, and support to staff and individuals. Teach job skills, work habits, and production projects while promoting independence and success. Ensure all employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and workplace expectations. Monitor workflow and productivity while maintaining quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation, reports, schedules, and records in a timely manner. Coordinate inventory and work with appropriate staff to maintain adequate merchandise and production supplies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Professionally assist customers and resolve concerns with excellent customer service. Train new employees on organizational policies, safety procedures, and customer service expectations. Complete employee evaluations and provide constructive feedback when requested. Collaborate with management to improve workflow, productivity, and operational efficiency. Recognize tasks that need attention and complete them without being directed. Assist in all departments as needed to support the overall success of the organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Strong ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Ability to teach, motivate, and positively support individuals with disabilities. Strong documentation and record-keeping skills. Basic computer proficiency. Basic mathematical skills for inventory and cash handling. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, carts, and other workplace equipment. Ability to work in warehouse, retail, recycling, and production environments. Forklift Certification Current forklift certification is preferred. Applicants without certification must be willing and able to obtain forklift certification upon employment. Must demonstrate the ability to safely operate a forklift in accordance with OSHA safety standards and organizational policies.
