Job Description

Director of Operations Sesay's Care Position Overview Sesay's Care is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee daily operations and ensure the delivery of safe, compliant, and person-centered services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This senior leadership position oversees Individual Supports, Community-Based Supports, Day Habilitation, Prevocational Training, Job Coaching, transportation, and future residential programs. The Director will ensure services comply with New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (NJ DDD), Medicaid, Department of Human Services, and Sesay's Care requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead daily program and administrative operations. Develop operational strategies that support Sesay's Care's mission and growth. Ensure services follow each individual's ISP, SDR, authorized units, assessed needs, preferences, and goals. Maintain compliance with NJ DDD, Medicaid, DHS, HIPAA, and agency policies. Oversee staffing, scheduling, service delivery, documentation, training, transportation, and billing readiness. Monitor Therap documentation, progress notes, attendance, service utilization, medication records, and incident reports. Ensure records are accurate, timely, person-centered, and audit-ready. Supervise managers, supervisors, administrative staff, and program personnel. Establish performance expectations and conduct regular staff and program reviews. Ensure employees meet DDD qualifications, background-check, drug-testing, orientation, and training requirements. Monitor required training, including CPR/First Aid, medication administration, Danielle's Law, Stephen Komninos' Law, incident reporting, individual rights, and abuse and neglect prevention. Oversee incident reporting, internal investigations, corrective actions, emergency preparedness, and risk management. Protect individuals' health, safety, dignity, rights, privacy, choice, and community inclusion. Monitor budgets, operational expenses, service authorizations, rejected claims, and program performance. Coordinate with individuals, families, guardians, support coordinators, DDD representatives, vendors, and community partners. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the Chief Executive Officer. Support referrals, program development, quality improvement, and responsible organizational growth. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, human services, social work, psychology, or a related field. Five years of operations, healthcare, human services, or developmental-disability program experience preferred. At least three years of supervisory or management experience. Experience working with an NJ DDD-approved provider strongly preferred. Knowledge of ISPs, SDRs, Medicaid documentation, service authorizations, incident reporting, individual rights, and provider compliance. Experience with Therap, iRecord, or similar electronic documentation systems preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, budgeting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple programs, supervise teams, and respond to urgent operational matters. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between service locations. Ability to satisfy all applicable DDD provider qualifications, background checks, training, and drug-testing requirements. $77,824.92 - $93,724.63 per year
