We seek leaders who have a passion for hospitality — especially those who've grown up in food and beverage. As Director of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day operations at Hotel Nyack, including our restaurant, bar, and banquet operations, along with rooms, housekeeping, and guest services. F&B is central to the guest experience at our property, and this role requires a leader who knows the business firsthand — someone comfortable walking a line, reading a beverage cost report, and coaching a service team through a busy Saturday night. You will be responsible for maintaining product and service quality across all departments, supporting budgets and forecasts, and selecting, training, and developing your leadership team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide hands-on leadership of all food and beverage operations — restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and events — driving service quality, menu execution, and profitability Lead efficient, high-quality operations across all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, and guest services Manage F&B financials including food and beverage cost controls, labor management, menu pricing, and vendor relationships Achieve property revenue and profitability goals while managing labor, operating, and departmental costs Recruit, train, and develop department leaders and staff — with particular focus on building a strong F&B leadership bench Implement service strategies and operational initiatives in line with Company and Brand standards Respond to guest feedback, trends, and needs to ensure a consistently exceptional guest experience across dining and lodging alike Partner on the development and execution of revenue, sales, and operational initiatives — including F&B promotions, local market programming, and event business Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of all hotel areas, equipment, and facilities Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, health department, federal, state, and local regulations Align closely with the General Manager as a key operational partner, stepping in as needed, and maintain professionalism at all times Build strong relationships with guests, associates, and internal partners to deliver exceptional service
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3-5 years of hotel operations management experience with multi-department oversight, including significant hands-on food and beverage leadership (restaurant, bar, or banquet management strongly preferred) Demonstrated command of F&B financials — food cost, beverage cost, labor forecasting, and P&L management Working knowledge of full hotel operations, cost controls, forecasting, and scheduling Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal Energetic, proactive, and solutions-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership qualities with the ability to build, motivate, and develop a team Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to exceeding guest expectations Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel records and company data Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred

$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
