Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to support our transit bus operation. The Operation Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Assist in the management of all aspects of transit bus operations, including scheduling, dispatching, fleet maintenance, and driver supervision.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with transit laws including hours of service, service intervals on vehicles etc.
Field and Video training:
Training and coaching drivers on safe driving habits.
Staff Development:
Provide leadership and mentorship to supervisors, dispatchers, mechanics, and drivers, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and professionalism.
Customer Service Excellence:
Champion a customer-centric approach, focusing on enhancing the passenger experience, resolving complaints, and implementing service improvements.
Scheduling:
Ensuring drivers are scheduled for the proper shifts.
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance experience is preferred. Experience in transit operations management, including supervisory experience. In-depth knowledge of transit industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve organizational goals. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in transit scheduling software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid Commercial Driver's License with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement. Clean driving record.
