Job Description

ABOUT THE EVENT
The International Cheese & Wine Festival is a weekend celebration of artisan cheeses and wines from around the world, presented by TasteUSA Food and Drink Festivals. Held at the Philadelphia Expo Center (100 Station Ave, Oaks, PA 19456), the festival welcomes thousands of guests across two days of guided tastings, seminars, and 60-80 vendor booths. Festival hours are 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026, with load-in and setup on Friday, October 9.
THE ROLE
The Beverage Operations Coordinator oversees all wine bars, leads the wine-tender team, and keeps service efficient and compliant. Oversee all wine bars and ensure smooth, efficient service across the floor. Lead, position, and support the wine-tender team. Monitor pours, pacing, and responsible-service compliance. RAMP certification and working wine knowledge required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
3+ years of event or hospitality experience, including beverage or bar management. Management or team lead experience with direct reports. RAMP certification (required). Strong wine knowledge. Attention to detail and strong customer service. Service-pacing and problem-solving under pressure.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Mandatory staff meeting: Friday, October 9, 2026, 7:30-8:30 PM. Attendance is required for all staff.
Work hours:
Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM both days.
Friday setup:
Report onsite Friday, October 9 at 2:30 PM through 8:30 PM (includes the staff meeting).
Position type:
Contract. Every hire is required to sign a contract before the event.
Eligibility:
Must be 18 or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S. Contract staff are paid via 1099 and complete a W-9.
Interview:
All candidates must be available for a Zoom interview.
Payment:
$800 flat rate. Paid by check on Sunday, October 11 at 7:00 PM, following station breakdown.
Meals:
Meals are provided for all staff on shift.
Alcohol service:
This role requires RAMP certification (Pennsylvania's Responsible Alcohol Management Program).
