The company's top priority is to facilitate an integrated approach to managing all transportation-related items that could affect event participants' experiences while visiting host cities. Duties Work directly with clients to identify and develop the transportation management plans that service their attendee base Serve as a liaison between clients and local transportation vendors, convention/facility management teams, key show vendors, and local/national law enforcement agencies Develop detailed traffic management plans that relate to the ingress and egress of attendees from the host convention center Develop transportation management plans that incorporate shuttles, special event services, vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow and parking Manage various show budgets ranging from $25,000 to $200,000 Supervise a part time labor force comprised of both Company employees and a temporary labor pool Negotiate and manage vendor relationships, rate structures and contracts Provide show analysis throughout a show's cycle Identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend and implement innovative solutions Capabilities & Technical Requirements Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team supervision and store operations. Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, employee training, and managerial communication skills. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Be proactive in addressing clients' needs Possess excellent organization and project management skills Be detail oriented, organized, able to self-manage to meet deadlines Possess excellent critical thinking skills Have the ability to work independently, problem solve, and lead small teams Have ability to delegate and manage staff in an office environment and at show site Be tech savvy and proficient with Mac OS.X, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth Be willing and able to travel and work long hours when in the field Willingness to spend 40-50% of work time outside the
