120,000 per year + Performance Incentives You're ready to lead.
We're ready to build it with you. Most operations leaders spend their careers either making someone else's system work, or trying to build one from nothing with no real support behind them. Both are hard in their own way. This is a different kind of opportunity. Hesse Heat & Air has served North Texas families since 1972. We are not a franchise. We are not a private equity rollup. We are a family-built company with fifty years of reputation, a customer base of more than 5,000 families, and the systems, support, and operational infrastructure to back it — the same infrastructure that runs our HVAC service and install teams today. What we don't have yet is plumbing. We're adding it as our next trade, and we need the right leader to bring the expertise: someone who can walk in, deliver plumbing work at a level that supports a premium price and a premium reputation, and help us build a high-performing team quickly — on a foundation that already works. The Role Hesse's mission has never been about a single trade — it's a promise to every family we serve: peace of mind and complete comfort in their home. We've spent fifty years building that promise into a name people trust for heating and air. This role exists to build that same trust into plumbing: the highest quality plumbing services and products in North Texas. We call what we deliver the
Prickle Promise:
peace of mind, reliability, integrity, caring, knowledge, life-enhancing solutions, and an exceptional experience. Every call. Every time. Without exception. That standard doesn't build itself, it gets set by the leader in this role, and it gets set high. This role also carries a real path forward — from leading plumbing execution to eventually running the division at scale as a Trade General Manager. We're building a career here, not just filling a seat. What You'll Build Your mission is to build and lead a high-performing residential plumbing operation that delivers excellent workmanship, exceptional customer experiences, and profitable growth. With Hesse's proven systems and support already in place, you'll: Lead, coach, and develop the plumbing team. Oversee daily operations , ensuring quality, efficiency, and accountability. Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and customer experience. Drive department performance , improving productivity, profitability, and overall results. Help build and grow a plumbing division positioned for long-term success. What Success Looks Like A successful Plumbing Operations Manager at
Hesse:
Delivers plumbing work at a level that earns premium pricing and premium trust Builds an accountable, productive, engaged plumbing team Coaches and develops technicians instead of simply managing them Uses KPIs and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement Leads by example and earns the team's trust Balances people, customer experience, and business performance Who You Are You've got real plumbing experience — five or more years in the trade, with a track record of excellent work and, ideally, increasing responsibility along the way. You know how to diagnose problems correctly the first time, execute clean, high-quality work, and talk to a homeowner in a way that supports a premium price instead of a race to the bottom. A Texas Master Plumber license is required — or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. You don't need to understand the P&L — though some prior exposure is a plus. What we need on day one is plumbing expertise, excellent field execution, and the leadership instinct to bring other plumbers up to that same standard. Beyond the resume, you are someone who: Communicates well with technicians and customers Earns trust quickly — with your team, with customers, with leadership and teammates Takes ownership when something goes wrong Leads the field from the field — training and supporting technicians personally, not just from behind a desk Wants to build something great, not just another trade company Also helpful, though not required: ServiceTitan or similar field-service software experience. We've found our best leaders carry something beyond operational skill. They've built or rebuilt something that was broken
a crew, a process, a territory
and had to defend that work under pressure, often before anyone else believed it would work. Many competed at a high level somewhere in their life
athletics, academics, business, the military
and know what it costs to lead people who are watching to see if you'll actually show up. If that's who you are, you already know it. What We Offer Compensation here is built to reward leadership, not tenure: $90,000
120,000 based on experience, plumbing expertise, and demonstrated ability to build a high-performing team, plus performance incentives tied to what you build.
We offer comprehensive benefits, real investment in your development, and the tools — human and technological — to do the job right. We operate by five values we call
H.A.P.P.Y.
— Honor People First, Accountability, Progress Through Learning, Positive Presence, and Your Trust Earned. These aren't words on a wall. They're the standard every person on this team, including leadership, is measured against — starting with you. And we offer something harder to find: the chance to lead a new trade at a company with the customer base, the systems, and the fifty-year reputation already in place to support fast, sustainable growth.
