full-time Reports To CEO, Amara NZero USA Mission Own the Services P&L end-to-end, keep the US HSE standard above reproach, and grow the business in 2027 by exporting the Amara Mexico services model.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Operate as a senior leader who takes initiative on behalf of the business. Identify opportunities to strengthen the company across processes, cost structure, service quality, technology, and organizational design, and drive them to completion in partnership with the CEO.
  • Bring recommendations forward with a clear business case, including the problem, proposed solution, expected impact, resources required, and timeline. Convert approved recommendations into launched initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain a rolling improvement plan across the operations organization and report progress in the monthly business review.
  • Full P&L ownership for Services USA
  • revenue, margin, cost base, and cash
  • Manage and renew the contract portfolio: Avangrid LR and Renewables DCs, RGE Cairn St, Solar Landscape, Solrite
  • Enforce commercial discipline: PO before work, invoicing calendar, dispute resolution
  • Guarantee service levels across Bergen, Rochester, and the Avangrid distribution centers
  • Lead Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) for Amara NZero USA and Sunrgy as a Group function
  • Build the 2027 growth plan and hire the Business Development Manager for Services
  • Bid new turnkey warehouse and logistics contracts using the Team Zero playbook Direct Reports Services lead, sales ops, site leads, and a new Business Development hire Success Measures
  • Services revenue and EBITDA versus budget
  • Contract renewal rate and weighted pipeline
  • PO coverage before work starts, DSO, and disputed invoice value
  • Customer SLA compliance and audit results
  • OSHA incidence rate, lost workdays, and closure of audit findings across both entities

  • 10+ years leading a warehousing, logistics, or industrial services business with P&L accountability
  • Contract negotiation experience with utilities, renewable owners, or large industrial customers
  • Credible HSE leader
  • OSHA 30 and formal safety-management experience
  • Business development instinct, comfortable owning a number and a pipeline
  • Experience operating across the US and Mexico or LatAm valued
  • English required; Spanish strongly preferred Multi-Site Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide day-to-day support, coaching, and accountability to Branch Managers and Warehouse Managers across all Amara NZero USA locations. Build a bench of strong operators through active mentorship and structured one-on-ones.
  • Coordinate directly with Regional Directors on branch-level priorities, staffing, and cross-branch initiatives. Ensure regional strategy and operational execution stay aligned.
  • Partner with Human Resources on incentive plans, career ladders, and succession plans for warehouse associates, drivers, quality-control leads, and branch leadership.
  • Monitor, approve, and coordinate time-off requests for direct reports and cross-branch operations personnel. Ensure branch coverage is maintained during peak periods. Full-Cycle Distribution Ownership
  • Own the end-to-end distribution cycle, from order receipt to picking, packing, staging, loading, dispatch, and delivery coordination, all the way through proof of delivery and customer confirmation.
  • Drive on-time in-full (OTIF) performance across every branch. Maintain visibility to every open order and every in-transit shipment, and intervene proactively when service risk is detected.
  • Own exception management. Build the playbooks, alerts, and daily huddles that surface late orders, damaged freight, driver issues, and short shipments, and drive same-day root-cause resolution.
  • Optimize logistics spend and delivery execution across fleet utilization, third-party carrier performance, freight mix, backhaul opportunities, and route efficiency, without compromising quality. Inventory Integrity & Controls
  • Monitor, approve, and investigate all inventory adjustments across every Amara Nzero branch. Establish approval thresholds, require documented root-cause analysis for material variances, and escalate patterns to the CEO.
  • Own cycle-count programs, physical inventory events, and the reconciliation of Zoho and WMS records to physical stock at every location. Drive continuous reduction of inventory variance.
  • Enforce process discipline for receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, and transfer transactions so that inventory records reflect reality in real time. Process, Systems & Technology
  • Systematize the processes and procedures that operations depend on. Write, publish, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for every branch, and ensure every associate is trained and signed off on the SOPs that govern their role.
  • Continuously optimize systems and processes across Zoho (Books, CRM, Inventory), WMS, TMS, fleet monitoring, and adjacent business tools. Drive automation and integration to eliminate manual work.
  • Deploy AI-enabled workflows where they create leverage, including forecasting, exception triage, document processing, coaching aids, and reporting. Set the standard for a technology-forward operations organization. Customer Service & Anticipatory Leadership
  • Operate with a customer-service-oriented mindset in every decision. Anticipate customer needs before they are voiced, and anticipate the needs of direct reports before they escalate.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics to ensure the operations organization delivers on commercial commitments while protecting Amara NZero USA's margin and service reputation. Operational Reporting & Executive Communication
  • Own the operational reporting stack, including the daily branch flash, weekly ops review, and monthly business review. Deliver clean, decision-ready data to the CEO and the executive team.
  • Translate operating performance into a clear narrative covering what is working, what is not, what the plan is, and what help is needed. Bring recommendations, not just problems. Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a strong safety culture across all branches. Own OSHA compliance, PPE standards, forklift and equipment certifications, and incident investigation and closure.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and industry regulations relevant to solar distribution, DOT-regulated deliveries, and hazardous-materials handling where applicable. Insurance & Risk Management
  • Own the operational insurance program end-to-end. Serve as Amara NZero USA's primary point of contact with insurance agencies and brokers for warehouse insurance, property insurance, and commercial auto insurance covering box-truck drivers and fleet.
  • Coordinate annual renewals, mid-term endorsements, and coverage reviews across every Amara NZero USA branch. Ensure coverage limits and terms remain appropriate as the company adds locations, vehicles, and inventory.
  • Manage the full claims lifecycle for warehouse, property, and auto claims. Report, document, work with adjusters, and drive resolution while protecting Amara NZero USA's loss history and future premiums.
  • Maintain up-to-date certificates of insurance (COIs) for customers, landlords, and carriers, and hold third-party carriers and vendors accountable to Amara NZero USA's COI requirements.
  • Own the driver qualification file (DQF) program for box-truck drivers, including MVR pulls, medical cards, and training records. Ensure every driver meets insurance and DOT requirements before operating an Amara NZero USA vehicle.
  • Partner with the CEO and Finance on annual insurance budgeting, and identify opportunities to reduce total cost of risk through loss prevention, safety programs, and market reviews. What Amara NZero USA Offers
